1. Impugned in this petition is an order and judgment dated 01.09.2026 passed by the Central Administrative Tribunal, Jammu Bench in OA No. 61/1206/2026 in case titled “Sanjay Kumar Sharma vs. UT of J&K and Others”, whereby the Tribunal has disposed of the OA filed by the petitioner with a direction to the respondents to treat the OA as representation and decide the same by passing a reasoned and speaking order within a period of three weeks.
2. The impugned judgment is filed by the petitioner, primarily, on the ground that the Tribunal has though issued a direction to the respondents to consider the representation, but has not protected his status.

3. Having heard learned counsel for the parties, we are of the considered opinion that the judgment impugned is required to be slightly modified.
4. This petition is, therefore, disposed of with a direction to the respondents to treat the OA of the petitioner as representation and decide the same by passing a reasoned and speaking order within a period of two weeks from today. Till the representation is decided by the said reasoned and speaking order, the position as was existing prior to the issuance of impugned order dated 10.08.2026 shall be maintained.
