ORDER

1. The applicant, through the medium of the instant transfer application, seeks transfer of the application preferred by the Union of India seeking shifting of the liability for payment of the award amount, pending before the learned MACT, Srinagar, to the learned MACT, Jammu. In the alternative, the applicant seeks transfer of the execution petition pending before the learned MACT, Jammu, along with the connected application seeking execution of the award passed by the learned MACT, Srinagar in the claim petition titled “Union of India Vs. Shri Hardev Singh and another”, to the learned MACT, Srinagar, where the application seeking shifting of liability for the award amount from the registered owner to the insurance company was pending disposal. The applicant, in the alternative, seeks transfer of the entire record so that the execution petition as well as the application seeking shifting of liability be considered and decided together by the same MACT, either at Srinagar or Jammu, for final disposal and satisfaction of the award.

2. Learned counsel appearing for the respondent-Union of India has brought to the notice of this Court the order dated 14.07.2026 passed by the learned MACT, Srinagar, whereby the application preferred by the applicant herein seeking shifting of liability of the award amount to the insurance company has already been disposed of by a detailed judgment and order. A copy of the said judgment and order has been furnished to the Court and is taken on record. In view of the aforesaid development, the prayer of the applicant seeking transfer of the said application has lost its validity and has been rendered infructuous.

3. In view of the aforesaid development, the instant transfer application is rendered infructuous and is, accordingly, dismissed. However, dismissal of the instant application shall not preclude the applicant to seek appropriate remedy under law, if so advised.
