ORDER

26.09.2026

1. Mr. Ilyas Nazir Laway, learned GA has produced the compliance report, along with Government Order No. 200-JK(HUD) of 2026 dated 22.09.2026, a perusal whereof reveals that in compliance with the directions passed by this Court in SWP No. 1478/2015, sanction has been accorded to the promotion/regularization of the petitioner against the post of Chief Foreman, Drainage Circle, Srinagar Municipal Corporation, notionally with effect from June 2011 (being the date on which he completed the prescribed qualifying service for promotion) and regular prospectively, in relaxation of the prescribed technical qualification. Copy of the compliance report is taken on record.

2. In view of the above, since the judgment sought to be enforced through the medium of present petition stands complied with, the present petition does not survive and accordingly contempt proceedings are closed.

3. However, petitioner shall be at liberty to assail the aforesaid Government order, if the cause survives.
