--------- 06/ Dated: 06.10.2026 I.A. No.14449 of 2025

1. Heard learned counsel for the applicant-State.

2. This I.A. seeks condonation of delay of 262 days in filing an appeal against the common judgment and order dated 16.08.2024 in W.P.(S) No.2395 of 2023 and connected matters.

2 L.P.A No.714 of 2025

3. In the connected matters, the State preferred L.P.A. Nos. 704, 706, 707, 713 and 786 of 2025 involving similar delay of 262 days. By order dated 04.05.2026, I.A. No.14446 of 2025 in L.P.A. No.786 of 2025 was dismissed as no sufficient cause was shown to explain the delay of 262 days.

4. By following the above-referred order, L.P.As referred to hereinabove, was also dismissed because the State was unable to show any sufficient cause to explain the delay of 262 days. The reasons set out for such delay were the same as those set out in I.A. No.14446 of 2025 in L.P.A. No.786 of 2025.

5. Even now, the reasons set out in the present I.A. are virtually identical to the reasons set out in I.A. No.14446 of 2025 and I.As filed in the above-referred L.P.As.

6. Therefore, by following the order dated 04.05.2026 in L.P.A. No.786 of 2025 and the order dated 07.07.2026 in L.P.A. No.704 of 2025 and connected matters, we dismiss the present I.A.

7. Consequently, the accompanying appeal and other I.As will not survive and are disposed of.

8. No costs.
