Heard the learned counsels appearing on behalf of the parties.

2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is in custody since 14.01.2026 in connection with S.T. Case No. 87 of 2026 arising out of Chandil P.S. Case No. 10 of 2026 corresponding to G.R. Case No. 79 of 2026, registered for the offences punishable under Sections 80/85/238 / 3(5) of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023 and Sections 3/4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act, now pending in the Court of Learned District & Addl. Session Judge II at Seraikella.

3. Learned counsel for the petitioner further submits that the petitioner has been falsely implicated in this case merely because he happens to be the husband of the deceased.

4. Learned counsel for the State has opposed the prayer for bail and has submitted that there is a direct allegation against the petitioner with regard to demand of dowry and further, the deceased died within 07 years of marriage in her matrimonial home and she was also pregnant.

5. After hearing the learned counsels for the parties and considering the direct allegation against the petitioner and the victim died in her matrimonial home within seven years of marriage coupled with the fact that there was demand of dowry, the petitioner being the husband, this Court is not inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail and hence, this bail application is rejected.

6. Let a copy of this order be communicated to the learned court concerned through “FAX/email”.
