Heard Mr. Niranjan Kumar, learned counsel for the appellant and learned A.P.P.
This appeal is directed against the order dated 23.04.2026 passed in A.B.P. No.73 of 2026 arising out of Khaga P.S. Case No.12 of 2024 by the learned Sessions Judge, Camp at Madhupur, whereby and whereunder the prayer for anticipatory bail of the appellant has been rejected.
It has been alleged that some miscreants were involved in stealing of crude oil from Haldia-Barauni pipeline.
Submission has been advanced by the learned counsel for the appellant that the appellant has been implicated on the basis of confessional statement of co-accused in Madhupur P.S. Case No.77 of 2025. It has been submitted that there are no incriminating material which would indicate about the involvement of the appellant in theft of crude oil from the said pipeline.
Learned A.P.P. has opposed the prayer for anticipatory bail of the appellant and has submitted that the appellant has got several criminal antecedents 10 in number which though has been refuted by learned counsel for the appellant who has stated that the appellant has got four criminal antecedents.
Regard being had to the nature of offence and the antecedents of the appellant, we are not inclined to interfere in the impugned order
