ORAL JUDGMENT

(PER: HON'BLE MRS. JUSTICE ANU SIVARAMAN)

1. A memo is filed seeking withdrawal of the writ petition on the ground that the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike Act, 2020 stands repealed by the provisions of the Greater Bengaluru Governance Act, 2024 (for short hereinafter referred to as 'G.B.A Act") which has been brought into force with effect from 15.05.2025. Specific reference is made to Section 361 of the G.B.A Act which expressly repeals and replaces the B.B.M.P Act which is the legislation, whose provisions are under challenge.

2. In the above view of the matter, accepting the memo the writ petition is dismissed as withdrawn.
