5. Heard learned counsel for appellant – claimant and learned counsel for respondent No. 1 – Insurer.

6. The accident occurred on 12.05.2024 and as on the date of accident the claimant was aged 43 years. Considering the said age of the claimant, the Tribunal has applied multiplier of `14’. taken at 30% as against 20% taken by the Tribunal. Since disability is more than 20%, future prospects at 25% is to be added. Therefore, loss of future income due to disability is calculated as under: 17,000 + 4,250 (25%) = Rs.21,250/- 21,250 X 12 X 14 X 30% = Rs.10,71,000/-

10. The Tribunal has not awarded interest on loss of future income due to disability. There is no basis for denying interest on loss of future income. Claimant is entitled to interest on loss of future income due to disability.

11. In view of the above, claimant is entitled to enhanced compensation of Rs.5,16,600/- (Rs.10,71,000 – Rs.5,54,400) with interest at the rate of 6% p.a. from the date of petition till the date of realization. Claimant is localhost
