ORAL ORDER

The present writ petition is filed seeking for the following reliefs:

"a) WHEREFORE, the Petitioner most respectfully prays that this Hon'ble Court may be pleased to issue a Writ of Certiorari or any other appropriate writ, order, or direction, quashing the endorsement bearing No. JJPS/RTI/36/2025 dated 17.11.2025 issued by the Respondent No. 2 (Annexure-B).

b) Direct the PIO to furnish the following information without any further delay: Certified copy of the Rowdy Sheet opened in my name and Present status-whether the Rowdy sheet is active, inactive, or recommended for closure."

2. It is the case of the petitioner that despite efforts to get copies of the rowdy sheet, that has been maintained by the police authorities, the requests made by the petitioner in that

regard have been rejected. It is further contented that in all the cases where the petitioner has been arrested as accused, the same have been quashed.

3. The learned AGA upon instruction submits that although the cases against the petitioner have been quashed, the petitioner is involving himself in various anti-social activities.

4. However, the learned counsel for the petitioner vehemently counters the said contention and submits that the petitioner is not involving himself in any anti-social activities.

5. Admittedly, in the present case, the petitioner has not placed any rowdy sheet on record. In the absence of any criminal cases pending against the petitioner and in the absence of any other material on record, it is not open to the police authorities to include the name of the petitioner in any rowdy sheet. In the absence of the name of the petitioner being referred to in the rowdy sheet, without initiating any action as may be permitted under law, it is not open to the police authorities to repeatedly call the petitioner to the police station.

HC-KAR

6. Subject to the aforementioned observation, the present writ petition stands disposed of.

7. Pending IAs., also stand disposed of.
