ORAL ORDER

Captioned petition is filed by the petitioner, appearing as a party-in-person, contending that, having completed his law degree, he is entitled to issuance of a Certificate of Practice by the respondent-State Bar Council. The grievance of the petitioner is that, despite his qualification, the respondent has failed to issue the Certificate of Practice.

2. Learned counsel appearing for the respondent-State Bar Council, on instructions, submits that the petitioner has not submitted any application seeking issuance of the Certificate of Practice along with the requisite academic credentials and other supporting documents. It is, therefore, contended that, in the absence of any such application, the question of the respondent considering and issuing the Certificate of Practice would not arise.

HC-KAR

3. There is no representation on behalf of the petitioner. In view of the submission made by the learned counsel appearing for the respondent-State Bar Council, this Court finds no occasion to issue any positive direction in the absence of a duly submitted application by the petitioner. Accordingly, the writ petition is liable to be dismissed.

4. It is, however, needless to observe that, in the event the petitioner submits an application before the respondent- State Bar Council, duly accompanied by all requisite documents and academic credentials, the respondent shall consider the same and take appropriate action thereon strictly in accordance with the applicable rules.

Subject to the aforesaid liberty, the writ petition stands dismissed.
