ORAL ORDER

Heard Sri.Rajesh Gowda, learned counsel for the petitioners.

2. The limited prayer in the present writ petition is to direct the trial Court to dispose of O.S. No.1178/2008, re-numbered as O.S. No.85/2022, filed seeking a declaration and injunction.

3. As is evident from the order sheet, the suit is at the stage of recording the evidence of the plaintiffs. This Court finds no justification for such an inordinate delay of more than 18 years in the disposal of the suit.

4. Considering the limited nature of the direction sought, notice to the respondents is dispense with.

5. The trial Court is directed to dispose of the suit within one year from the next date of hearing, which is stated to be 01.10.2026.

HC-KAR

6. With the above observation, the writ petition is disposed of.
