ORAL JUDGMENT

(PER: HON'BLE MRS. JUSTICE ANU SIVARAMAN)

This writ petition is filed seeking to issue a writ of mandamus by directing respondent No.1 and 3 to consider the representation letter - Annexure 'D' dated 24.07.2025 and to reconstruct and reinstall the Lord Parashurama Statue at Parashurama Theme Park, Karkala, by issuing fresh tenders and engaging a reputed sculptor and complete the reconstruction within a time-bound schedule.

2. We have heard the learned counsel for the writ petitioner as well as the learned counsel appearing for the respondents herein. We have also considered the applications filed for impleadment.

3. However, in view of the nature of the directions that we intend to issue in this writ petition, we are of the opinion that the impleadment of the proposed respondent in this

HC-KAR

petition is not required. Accordingly, IA No.1/2026 and IA No.2/2026 stands dismissed.

4. The Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that Annexure - 'D' is a representation preferred by the petitioner before the first respondent. We are of the opinion that, since the disputes are purely factual in nature, it is for the first respondent to take an appropriate decision on the said representation. While considering the representation, the necessary parties, including the proposed respondent No.6, shall also be put on notice and heard.

Accordingly, the Writ Petition is disposed of.
