ORAL ORDER

This matter is listed for admission. I have heard learned High Court Government Pleader for respondent No.1 and learned counsel for respondent No.2.

2. Learned counsel for the petitioners has filed a memo along with documents that matter is settled between deceased first petitioner with deceased respondent No.2 and to that effect, produced the order sheet in O.S.No.314/2009, mediation report and memorandum of settlement which is also allowed and accepted.

3. Learned counsel for respondent No.2 i.e., Smt.Bhanumathi has filed vakalath, but not obtained NOC from earlier advocate. Learned counsel for the petitioners would submit that earlier advocate Smt. B.N. Muthulaxmi has been appointed as Public Prosecutor. Now, the respondent No.2 has also filed an affidavit before the Court with regard to settlement arrived between the parties and she has no objection to quash the proceedings initiated against the petitioners and the same is taken on record.

HC-KAR

4. Having considered the fact that there was settlement between the parties and the same is affirmed by respondent No.2/complainant, the proceedings initiated against the petitioners is hereby quashed, in view of the affidavit and settlement arrived between the parties.

Accordingly, the criminal petition is disposed of.
