ORAL ORDER

(PER: HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE JAYANT BANERJI)

A compliance affidavit has been filed today in Court by the learned counsel for the sole accused.

2. In the affidavit it has been stated by the accused that the complainant had reported for duty in the University on 02.02.2023. The complainant was appointed in Academic Level- 10 and on probation period for 2 years. Before declaration of probation, he made an application to the respondent/University with a request seeking promotion under the Career Advancement Scheme-2016 on 31.08.2023. On the date of reporting for duty, the complainant had not completed even the probation period. Therefore, the question of considering his case for promotion in the cadre of Assistant Professor Level-12 to Associate Professor Level-13 under Career Advancement

HC-KAR

Scheme-2016 does not arise. Accordingly, the letter dated 17.11.2025 was decided by the University on 06.07.2026.

3. In this view of the matter, the learned counsel for the complainant states that he would prefer his remedy before the appropriate forum.

4. This contempt case is, therefore, consigned.
