ORAL ORDER

(PER: HON'BLE MR. VIBHU BAKHRU, CHIEF JUSTICE)

1. The petitioner has filed the present petition as a Public Interest Litigation [PIL], inter alia, praying that directions be issued to respondent Nos.1 to 5 to consider his representations dated 23.03.2026 and direct the respondents to protect the Government land.

2. The petitioner alleges that respondent No.6 has encroached upon certain Government lands. The pleadings do not disclose the description of the land. However, the letter issued by the Grama

HC-KAR

Panchayat Office, Agumbe (annexed as Annexure-C to the petition) indicates that the said land is adjacent to a plot of land measuring 40x80, bearing Gram Panchayat D.R.No.396/294/319/1.

3. The learned Additional Government Advocate submits that the allegations made by the petitioner be examined and if it is found that there is any encroachment on Government land as alleged, necessary steps shall be taken in accordance with law.

4. In view of the above, no further orders are required to be passed in the petition. The same is accordingly disposed of.
