ORAL ORDER

The petitioner is before the court seeking the following prayer: i. Direct the II Additional District and Sessions Judge, Shivamogga, to pass judgment and dispose of Criminal Appeal No.9/2025 pending before it, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a time-bound period, in the interest of justice and equity."

HC-KAR

ii. Pass any such other Order(s) or Directions(s) as this Hon'ble Court deems fit in the facts and circumstances of the case, in the interest of justice."

2. The petitioners are the appellants in Criminal Appeal No. 9/2025. The concerned court had reserved the said proceeding for its orders on 28.02.2026 and despite close to 7 months has not passed any order. Therefore the petitioners are before this court.

In the light of the appeal proceedings pending for the judgment being reserved for the last 7 to 8 months, I deem it appropriate to direct the concerned court to expeditiously dispose the said appeal at any rate within 4 weeks from the date of receipt of the copy of this order.

Accordingly, the petition stands disposed of.
