ORAL ORDER
1. This petition under Section 483 of BNSS, 2023 is filed seeking regular bail in Crime No.169 of 2025 registered for offences punishable under Sections 61(2), 189(2), 189(4), 103(1), 249, 304(2) r/w Section 190 of BNS 2023 and Sections 3(2)(v) of the SC/ST (POA) Amendment Act, 2015. Bail application filed by the petitioner before the jurisdictional Sessions Court in Special case No.40 of 2026 was rejected on 09.04.2026.
2. Registry has raised an office objection with regard to maintainability of this petition on the ground that petitioner has an alternative remedy of filing an appeal against the aforesaid order provided under Section 14(A)(2) of the SC/ST (POA) Amendment Act, 2015.

3. Learned counsel for the petitioner has filed a memo stating that inadvertently he has filed this criminal petition instead of filing a criminal appeal as aforesaid said.
4. Memo is taken on record. Petitioner is permitted to convert this criminal petition into a criminal appeal as aforesaid.
