ORAL ORDER

The petitioner/accused is before the Court calling in question the proceedings in C.C.No.16018/2021 registered for the offences punishable under Sections 498A and 504 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860 ('the IPC' for short).

2. Smt. Deepa J., learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would take this Court through the documents appended to the petition to demonstrate that the petitioner has been diligent in appearing before the Court in all the proceedings and the complainant or the witnesses of the complainant are dodging the issue and further submits that the

HC-KAR

matter is now six years old and the concerned Court has not concluded the proceedings.

3. A perusal at the order sheet would indicate that the proceedings are being adjourned without rhyme or reason. Therefore, I deem it appropriate to infuse finality to the proceedings. The concerned Court shall endeavour to conclude the proceedings within an outer limit of six months from the date of receipt of copy of the order, if not earlier.

4. Accordingly, the petition stands disposed.
