ORAL ORDER

Heard the learned counsel, Sri. Vivekananda, appearing for the petitioner, Smt. Waheeda M.M., learned HCGP appearing for the respondent and have perused the material on record.

2. The petitioner is before the Court seeking the following prayer: "a. The Petitioner, therefore, prays that this Hon'ble Court may be pleased to issue necessary directions to the learned Trial Court to expedite and dispose of C.C.No.23001/2021 within a time-bound period in the interest of justice. b. Direct the Chief Judicial Magistrate First Class (Traffic Court-1), Mayohall at Bengaluru, to expedite the proceedings in C.C.No. 23001/2021 arising out of the Crime No.44/2021 for the offences punishable under section 279 and 304 of IPC, 1860 and section 184 and 190(2) of Motor Vehicles Act, 1988 as expeditiously as possible within a time limit this Hon'ble Court deems fit in the interest of justice. c. Pass any other order(s) or direction this Hon'ble court deems fit according to the facts and circumstances of the case."

HC-KAR

3. The petitioner - accused is now before the Court, appending to the petition the order sheet of the concerned Court which clearly depicts that adjourments have been granted without rhyme or reason and the matter is still pending before the concerned Court. Therefore, the petitioner seeks the aforesaid prayer.

4. In the light of the prayer being innocuous, I deem it appropriate to infuse finality into the proceedings. The concerned Court shall now endeavor to conclude the proceedings within an outer limit of six (6) months, if not earlier, in accordance with law. With the aforesaid observations, the petition stands disposed.
