ORAL ORDER

Learned High Court Government Pleader takes notice for all the respondents.

2. The grievance of the petitioner is that respondent No.5-Tahsildar has failed to issue Saguval Chit in favour of the petitioner despite the land in question being granted at the instance of respondent No.3-Special Land Acquisition Officer for the Hemavathi Reservoir Project under the scheme of rehabilitation by order dated 26.05.2018 at Annexure-D. The prayer therefore is to issue necessary directions to respondent No.5-Tahsildar, Sakaleshapura Taluk to consider the representations given by the petitioner at Annexure-E dated 10.04.2026.

3. Having regard to the contentions raised by the petitioner, the writ petition stands disposed of with a specific direction to respondent No.5-Tahsildar, Sakaleshapura Taluk, to verify from the records as to whether such an order has been passed at the hands of

HC-KAR

respondent No.3-Special Land Acquisition Officer. If it is found true that the claim of the petitioner is genuine, then respondent No.5-Tahsildar shall proceed to issue Saguvali Chit to the petitioner after collecting the requisite fee/ maramalki and thereafter, enter the name of the petitioner in the revenue records.

4. The entire exercise shall be completed as expeditiously as possible and at any rate within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

Ordered accordingly.

5. Learned High Court Government Pleader is permitted to file memo of appearance within a period of four weeks from today.
