The present contempt petition has been filed alleging willful disobedience and non-compliance of the judgment dated 22.10.2024 passed by this Court in WP(C) No. 36918 of 2024. The learned Single Judge directed the respondents to disburse the Provident Fund loan within four months from the date of receipt of a copy of the judgment. Paragraph 4 of the judgment reads as follows: “ In the facts and circumstances of the case, I am inclined to grant four months time for the Corporation to consider the applications of the petitioners and to disburse the PF loans. Accordingly, there will be a direction to the competent among the respondents to consider the applications of the petitioners for PF loans and to disburse the amounts within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this judgment.”

2. The respondent Corporation filed W.A. No.643 of 2025, which was disposed of by the Division Bench vide its judgment dated 04.04.2025, granting a further period of two months from the date of the said judgment passed by the learned Division Bench.

3. In view of the above, the contempt petition does not survive as time is extended by a further period of two months. If the respondent fails to disburse the eligible amount to the petitioner, the petitioner shall be at liberty to revive this contempt petition. With the above direction, the contempt case is closed.
