17-06-2026 Mr. S. Yainanda, learned counsel for the petitioners, on instructions, submits that the cause of the writ petition does not survive as the term of the governing body under challenge has already expired. Mr. Tomclist H., learned counsel for the State respondents and Mr. A. Arunkumar, learned counsel for respondent No. 3/Principal of Naorem Birahari College, submit that this Court may pass appropriate order in view of the subsequent development. Recording the submissions made at the Bar, the writ petition is closed as infructuous. Interim order, if any, merges with the final order.
