Present Ms. Alina, learned counsel for the petitioners and Mr. N. Nongdamba, learned counsel for the respondents.
The present contempt petition is preferred by the petitioners for non-compliance of the direction in the order dated 26.02.2025 passed by this Court in WP(C) No. 157 of 2025 whereby the Commissioner/ Secretary (Revenue), Government of Manipur was directed to dispose of the representation dated 24.12.2024 by a speaking order within two months.
When the matter is taken up today, Mr. N. Nongdamba, learned counsel for respondent No. 1, submits that the Directorate of Settlement & Land Records, Manipur issued an order dated 01.08.2025 in compliance of the direction of this Court.
The order dated 01.08.2025 is taken on record.
In view of the subsequent event of issuing the order dated 01.08.2025, the cause of the contempt petition does not survive and the same is closed.
