Mr. Somorendro Roy, learned counsel appeared on behalf of the applicants and Mr. Rendy Maibam, learned counsel appeared on behalf of the respondents.
By an order dated 13-11-2025 passed by this court in WP(C) No. 888 of 2025, the Deputy Commissioner, Chandel (Applicant No. 2 herein) was directed to decide the pending representation dated 27-10-2025 submitted by the writ petitioner (Respondent No. 1 herein) as per law within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of the said order.
When the aforesaid direction given by this court cannot be complied with by the applicant No. 2 in time, the present application has been filed with the prayer for extending the time period granted by this court for consideration and disposal of the said representation dated 27-10-2025 as directed earlier by this court for a further period of two months. MC(WP(C)) No. 193 of 2026 Contd…/-
Mr. Rendy Maibam, learned counsel appearing for the respondent No. 1 fairly submitted that he has no objection in granting the reliefs sought for by the applicants therein. However, the learned counsel submitted that the applicants may not be allowed to seek extension of time after the said two months for complying with the earlier direction given by this court.
In view of the submission made by the learned counsel appearing for the respondent No. 1, the present application is disposed of by granting two months’ further time w.e.f. today to the applicants for complying with the earlier direction given by this court. It is made clear that no further time will be granted to the applicants thereafter for complying with the aforesaid direction given by this court.
With the aforesaid directions, the present application is disposed of.
