1. Heard Ms. K. Baral, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr. S.N. Nayak, learned ASC for State – opposite parties.
2. It is submitted that in the matriculation certificate of the petitioner his mother’s name has been wrongly recorded and in this regard the representation of the petitioner is pending with the Secretary, Board of Secondary Education.
3. Accordingly the writ petition is disposed of at the stage of admission with a direction to the Secretary, Board of Secondary Education, Government of Odisha (O.P. No.2) to consider the grievance of the petitioner as per his representation at Annexure-2, in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order along with a copy of the writ petition.

It is submitted by Ms. Baral, learned counsel on behalf of the petitioner that so far as his prayer relating to correction of the certificate issued by the Council of Higher Education Department is Digitally Signed Signed by: MANAS KUMAR PANDA Reason: Authentication Location: OHC, Cuttack Date: 07-Sep-2026 18:37:01 Signature Not Verified concerned, the petitioner may be permitted to file a fresh writ petition. Accordingly the petitioner is granted liberty to file another writ petition afresh, in respect of said prayer.
5. An urgent certified copy of this order be issued on proper application.
