1. This is a bail application U/S.483 of BNSS by the petitioner for grant of bail in connection with Chhendipada PS Case No.291 of 2026 corresponding to CT Case (NDPS) No.33 of 2026 pending in the file of learned Special Judge, Angul for commission of offences punishable U/Ss.21(b)/29 of the NDPS Act, on the main allegation of dealing with Contraband article of Brown Sugar.

2. Heard, Mr. Akshaya Kumar Sahoo, learned counsel for the Petitioner and Mr. S.C. Pradhan, learned Addl. PP in the matter and perused the record.

3. After having considered the rival submissions upon perusal of record, not only there appears allegation against the petitioner for dealing with Contraband article, but also she is allegedly involved in two other similar type of cases vide C.T.(NDPS) Case No. 19/2025 U/s. 21(b)/29 of NDPS Act and C.T.(NDPS) Case No.01/2026 U/s. 21(b)/29 of NDPS

Act. The trial is yet to commence. No doubt, co- accused has been granted bail, but the present Petitioner does not stand on similar footing inasmuch as the co-accused was suffering from Metastatic cancer and the present petitioner is having similar criminal antecedent. In the view of the aforesaid facts and circumstance and on consideration of the materials placed on record together with criminal proclivity the Petitioner for similar type of cases, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the Petitioner.

4. Hence, the bail application of the petitioner stands rejected. Accordingly, the BLAPL stands disposed of. A soft copy of this order be immediately transmitted to the learned trial Court.
