ORDER

01.09.2026 (Hybrid mode)

01.

1. In the present case, the petitioner, by invoking the writ jurisdiction of this Court, has prayed for the following relief: “to issue appropriate writ with a direction to the Opposite Party No.1 to dispose of the Execution Application being E.A. No.37 of 2024, pending before the learned District Consumer Dispute Redressal Commission, Jagatsinghpur, within a specified period, as deems appropriate and proper by this Hon’ble Court, in the interest of justice.”

Subhasis Disputes Redressal Forum, Jagatsinghpur. He submits that appeal against the said order was filed by the respondent before the State Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission unsuccessfully and there is no further appeal against the judgment of the State Consumer Commission filed by the opposite party. He further submits that the petitioner has initiated execution proceeding in the year 2024. Although the respondents have appeared in the said execution proceeding, but the execution proceeding is moving in a snail pace. Therefore, he has approached this Court seeking a direction for expeditious disposal of the said execution proceeding.

3. Speedy disposal of the proceeding of the present nature is expected. Hence, the petitioner’s prayer seems to be innocent and liable to be allowed. Therefore, this Court expects and encourages the District Consumer Disputes Forum, Jagatsinghpur, to do well to see that the E. A. No 37 of 2024 is disposed of expeditiously, if there is no legal impediment.

4. The writ petition is accordingly disposed of.
