ORDER
31.08.2026
01.
1. The instant writ petition in the nature of the Habeas Corpus was filed by the Petitioner alleging inaction on the part of the State authorities in not taking appropriate and immediate steps to rescue the minor daughter of the Petitioner from the illegal custody of Opp. Party No.5.
2. A direction was also sought for the production of the minor girl before this Court. At the time of the admission of the instant writ petition, it is submitted by the counsel representing the Petitioner that the girl has been rescued and therefore, he does not want to proceed with the instant writ petition.
3. Learned Additional Standing Counsel submits that the steps were taken immediately and the girl was rescued and produced before the CWC. After examining the minor girl and considering other facts that emerged in the course of the investigation, the CWC
ordered that the custody of the minor girl be given to her father, and so the girl is presently living with her father.
4. In view of the fact that there remains nothing to be decided in the instant writ petition, the same is dismissed as infructuous.
