ORDER

31.08.2026

03. 1. Heard Mr.Subir Palit, learned Senior Counsel for the Petitioner along with Mr.Adhiraj Mohanty, learned counsel and learned counsel for the State.

2. The Petitioners are seeking pre-arrest bail in connection with G.R. Case No.53 of 2025, arising out Keonjhar Town P.S. Case No.17 of 2025 pending on the file of learned S.D.J.M., Keonjhar.

3. Learned Senior Counsel for the Petitioners submits that for the self-same incident, Keonjhar Twon P.S. No.18 of 2025 has been instituted in which the present Petitioners were cited as accused.

4. The present FIR has been instituted at the instance of the Manager of the Jewelry Shop whereas the FIR, basing in Keonjhar Town P.S. Case No.18 of 2025 has been registered, was at the behest of the owner.

5. It is apt to note here that by order of this day passed in ABLAPL Nos.506 & 510 of 2025, this Court granted pre-arrest bail to the Petitioners therein after taking into account the submission of learned Senior Counsel for the Petitioners as well as the objection filed by the learned counsel for the State inter alia referring to the criminal antecedents.

7. This Court does not want to lengthen the shadow of this order by referring to the time-tested principles governing the field pre-arrest bail, which has already discussed in the order passed on this day in ABLAPL No.506 of 2025.

8. Considering the nature of allegations, the fact that the charge-sheet in the case has been submitted and the injured has suffered simple injuries, this Court directs that on surrendering within three weeks hence and moving for bail, the Petitioners shall be released on bail by the learned Court in seisin on such terms as deemed just and proper.

9. It is needless to state that the Petitioners shall cooperate with the ongoing investigation.

10. The ABLAPL is accordingly disposed of.

Issue urgent certified copy as per rules.
