1. Heard.

2. In the present petition, the petitioner has challenged the order dated 28.01.2026 passed by the learned Special Judge (Vigilance), Bhubaneswar, in Criminal Misc. Case No. 227 of 2025, whereby his application seeking release of the seized amount of Rs.8,50,000/- has been rejected.

3. Learned counsel for the petitioner, after arguing the matter for some time, seeks to withdraw the present petition with liberty to renew the prayer for release of the seized amount of Rs.8,50,000/- after filing of the charge-sheet.

4. Mr. Das, learned Standing Counsel for the Vigilance Department, submits that the investigation in the present case is still in progress.

5. Regard being had to the submissions of learned counsel for the parties and considering the stage of investigation, this Court is not inclined to adjudicate upon the merits of the case at this stage. However, liberty is granted to the petitioner to renew his prayer for release of the seized amount of Rs.8,50,000/- after filing of the charge-sheet. It is expected that, upon such application being filed, the learned trial Court shall consider and dispose of the same on its own merits, without being influenced by any observation made in the impugned order.

6. With the aforesaid observation and liberty, the CRLREV is disposed of.
