ORDER

29.08.2026

01.

1. Since all the ABLAPLs relate to the same FIR, on the consent of the parties, they are taken up together for consideration and disposed of by this common order.

2. Heard learned counsel for the Petitioners and learned counsel for the State.

3. The Petitioners are seeking pre-arrest bail in connection with G.R. Case No.660 of 2026 pending on the file of learned SDJM(S), Cuttack arising out of Mahila P.S. Case No.112 of 2026 for commission of offences punishable under Sections 85, 115(2), 296, 351(2) and 3(5) of BNS, 2023 read with Section 4 of DP Act.

4. Learned counsel for the State opposes the prayer for pre-arrest bail.

5. Taking into account that the Petitioners are the in-laws, the background in which the allegation has been levelled and taking into account the punishment prescribed under Section 85 of BNS, this Court directs that on surrendering within three weeks hence and moving for bail, the Petitioners shall be released on bail by the learned Court in seisin on such terms as deemed just and proper.

6. It is needless to state that the Petitioners shall cooperate with the ongoing investigation.

7. Accordingly, the ABLAPLs stand disposed of.
