1. The matter is taken up through hybrid mode.
2. Heard Mr. Mohanty, learned counsel for the Petitioner and Mr. Nayak, learned ASC for the State.
3. It is submitted that the application of the Petitioner for appointment under Rehabilitation Rules is pending with the authority. In this regard, the District Education Officer in his letter dated 18th February 2026 under Annexure-13 has sought for certain clarification from the Director of Elementary Education, and pursuant to the same the Director has clarified it at Annexure-14. But thereafter, the District Education Officer is sitting over the matter.
4. Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of at the stage of admission with a direction to the District Education Officer, Kandhamal (Opposite Party No.4) to consider the prayer of the Petitioner for Digitally Signed Signed by: SANGRAM DAS Reason: Authentication Location: High Court of Orissa, Cuttack Date: 21-Aug-2026 16:50:52 Signature Not Verified rehabilitation appointment and take steps, in accordance with law and in terms of the clarification issued by the Director at Annexure-14, within a period of three months from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order along with a copy of the writ petition.
5. An urgent certified copy of this order shall be issued on proper application.
