01. 1. Heard learned senior counsel for the Petitioner and learned counsel for the State.
2. The Petitioner is seeking pre-arrest bail in connection with G.R. Case No.1705 of 2026 pending on the file of learned SDJM, Dhenkanal arising out of Dhenkanal Town P.S. Case No.508 of 2026 for commission of offences punishable under Section 85/ 103(1)/ 80(2)/ 351(2)/ 3(5) of the BNS, 2023 read with Section 4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act, 1961.
3. Learned counsel for the State opposes such prayer.
4. Taking into account the nature of allegations, post mortem report and statement of witnesses, this Court is not inclined to entertain the application for pre-arrest bail. However, in the event the Petitioner surrenders before the learned Court in seisin and moves an application for his release on bail, the same shall be considered on its own merit.
5. Accordingly, the ABLAPL stands disposed of. U.C.C. as per rules.
