ORDER

20.08.2026

I.A. No.545 of 2026 in CONTC No.6618 of 2021

1. The petitioner has filed this contempt application for non- compliance of the order dated 28.01.2021 passed in W.P. (C) No.2959 of 2021. Earlier, the petitioner had approached this Court by filing CONTC No.3563 of 2021, which was disposed of on 05.07.2021 allowing three months’ time to comply with the order dated 28.01.2021. This is the 2nd contempt filed by the petitioner against the opposite party-contemnor alleging the inaction on the part of the authority for non-compliance of the said order.

2. Notice was issued to the opposite party-contemnor on 31.10.2022. After receiving notice in the present contempt petition, the order/direction passed by this Court on 28.01.2021 in W.P. (C) No.2959 of 2021 has been complied with by the authority concerned and the compliance affidavit has been filed by the opposite party/contemnor which has been annexed as Annexure-1/B to this Interlocutory Application.

3. In the present interlocutory application being I.A. No.545 of 2026, the petitioner seeks liberty to withdraw the contempt petition as the relief claimed by the petitioner has already been redressed.

4. Prayer is allowed.

5. In view of the compliance affidavit filed by the opposite party/contemnor and considering the prayer made in the Interlocutory Application, the contempt proceeding is dropped and, the I.A. being allowed, the contempt petition stands disposed of.
