02. 1. Heard learned counsel for the Petitioners and learned counsel for the State.
2. The Petitioners are seeking pre-arrest bail in connection with G.R. Case No.654 of 2026 pending on the file of learned J.M.F.C., Talcher, arising out of Samal P.S. Case No.158 of 2026 for commission of offences punishable under Sections 118(1)/296/3(5) of BNS, 2023.
3. Learned counsel for the State opposes the prayer for pre-arrest bail referring to the statement of the injured and the injury report indicating that the injured has suffered two grievous injuries.
4. Considering the same, this Court is not inclined to entertain this application of the Petitioners for pre-arrest bail. However, in the event the Petitioners surrender before the learned Court in
seisin in the aforesaid case and move application for their release on bail, the same shall be considered on its own merit.
5. The ABLAPL is accordingly disposed of.
