ORDER
19.08.2026 Order No. 01
1. This matter is taken up through hybrid mode.
2. Heard Mr. S. Das, learned counsel appearing on behalf of Ms. S.S. Ojha, learned counsel for the Petitioner and Mr. S. Das, learned Addl. Standing Counsel appearing for the Opp. Parties.
3. Even though the present writ petition has been filed inter alia challenging the order of suspension passed on 10.08.2026 under Annexure-1, but it is contended that since while placing the Petitioner under suspension vide the said order, Petitioner’s headquarter has been fixed at Ganjam and Petitioner is at present continuing at Khordha, Petitioner will face difficulty in attending the office during the period of suspension at Ganjam. It is accordingly contended that Opp. Party No. 3 be directed to take a decision so far as fixation of Headquarter is concerned.
4. Learned Addl. Standing Counsel on the other hand contended that since no such application has been made by the Petitioner seeking
Page 2 of 2. change of headquarter, so fixed in order dtd.10.08.2026, the writ petition is not entertainable.
5. Having heard learned counsel appearing for the Parties and considering the submission made, this Court while disposing the writ petition, permits the Petitioner to move Opp. Party No. 3 for refixation of the headquarter, if any, so fixed in order dt.10.08.2026 under Annexure-1.
5.1. It is observed that, if any such application is moved before Opp. Party No. 3 within a period of two (2) weeks hence, the said Opp. Party shall do well to take a lawful decision within a period of two (2) weeks from the date of receipt of such application with due communication to the Petitioner.
6. The writ petition accordingly stands disposed of.
