ORDER
18.08.2026
02.
1. With a prayer for a direction to the Odisha State Information Commission, Bhubaneswar (Opposite Party No.1) to dispose of Second Appeal No.5049 of 2025 (Annexure-3) within a stipulated period, the petitioner has filed this writ petition.
2. It is submitted by Sri Rakesh Kumar Sarangi, learned advocate for the petitioner that during the pendency of this writ petition, the matter has already been taken up by the Odisha State Information Commission for hearing and upon conclusion of hearing, the judgment is awaited. Therefore, the petitioner does not want to press this writ petition and the counsel for the petitioner sought leave to withdraw the same. A memo to that effect has been filed on 10.08.2026.
3. Sri Smruti Ranjan Dash, learned counsel appearing for the opposite party no.1 submitted that the matter is kept reserved for preparation and pronouncement of the final order.
4. Faced with such situation, this Court perceives that keeping this writ petition pending shall subserve no fruitful purpose. Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of as not pressed.
