ORDER

17.08.2026

01.

1. Heard learned counsel for the Parties.

2. The instant writ petition in the nature of habeas corpus is at the behest of the mother of the minor victim girl, who, according to her, has been kidnapped and kept in a wrongful confinement. Today, while the matter is listed for admission, it is uniformly submitted by both the counsels that the girl has been rescued and was produced before the CWC. Her statement under Sections 180 and 183 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 (BNSS) has been recorded. The steps on the basis of her statement are being taken and it is assured that all possible action as permissible in law shall be ensured by the police authorities. On the basis of an order of the

CWC, the minor victim girl has been given a custody to the Petitioner and she is living in her parental house.

3. In view of the fact, there is no point in keeping the instant writ Petition pending, nor would it subserve any purpose to direct the minor victim girl to be produced before this Court.

4. The Writ Petition is accordingly dismissed.
