ORDER
07.08.2026
01.
1. This is an application under Article 227 of the Constitution of India at the behest of the plaintiff-petitioner seeking for expeditious disposal of C.S. No.99 of 2023 pending before the learned Senior Civil Judge, Sonepur.
2. The order sheet appended to the instant application reveals that the suit is at the peremptory hearing stage and the first witness of the defendant is facing cross-examination. The order sheet further reveals that since last more than 3 to 4 occasions, the adjournment was sought by the defendant which impedes the progress of the instant suit.
3. Considering the stage of the suit, where the first witness of the defendant is facing cross-examination, this Court, therefore, requests the learned Senior Civil Judge, Sonepur to make endeavour to dispose of the said suit, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of eight months from the date of communication of this order.
4. With the aforesaid observation, the instant application stands disposed of.
