ORDER

Order No. 02.07.2026

(Through Hybrid Mode)

02.

1. This CRLMP has been filed with the following prayer:- “In view of the aforesaid facts and circumstances as stated above, the humble Petitioner fervently prays that, your Lordships may graciously be pleased to consider the facts of the case, and may further be pleased to allow this Criminal Miscellaneous Petition, and after being heard, to allow the same to the extent that;

i) Direct the O.P. No. 4, i.e., IIC, Pattamundai Rural Police Station to not interfere/disturb the peaceful life of the Petitioner, by any means whatsoever,

(ii) Direct the O.P. No. 3, i.e., the Superintendent of Police, Kendrapara, to take diligent steps based upon the Petitioner's Representation/Complaint dated 29.05.2026 vide Annexure-1 Series, while taking strict action against all such persons involved, for the illegal detention, criminal intimidation, and custodial torture of the Petitioner along with her husband and minor child, and entrusting such investigation to an impartial senior official;

And pass any such order (s) or direction (s), as this Hon'ble Court may deem fit as well as proper, in the bona-fide interest of justice.

And for this act of kindness, the Petitioner, as in duty bound, shall ever pray.”

2. Pursuant to order dated 23.06.2026, instructions dated 30.06.2026 of the I.I.C., Pattamundai Rural Police Station is produced, where it is stated that on receipt of a complaint dated 10.05.2026 of Manik Ray, wife of Bijay Kumar Ray that the Petitioner was being harassed by her husband and in-laws and the accused persons insulted and abused her when she wanted to visit her daughter’s house, the husband of the Petitioner was called to the Police Station for enquiry and counselling. After counselling in the presence of two gentlemen of both sides it was agreed that the Petitioner would not be harassed, so the mother of the Petitioner did not press for registration of the case. But later the counselling failed, so she again appeared in the Police Station on 25.06.2026, for which Pattamundai Rural P.S. Case No. 356 dated 26.06.2026 has been registered against Ansuman Singh,

Kunmun Singh, Annapurna Singh, Akshaya Singh and Mamata Singh.

3. Although FIR has been registered, in view of the relationship between the parties (the Petitioner is the daughter of the informant) if it is found during investigation that the Petitioner is staying happily with her husband and in-laws, it would be in the interest of justice if the matter is amicably settled.

4. With the above observations, the CRLMP is disposed of.

5. Urgent certified copy of this order be granted on proper application.
