ORDER
02.07.2026 W.P.(C) Nos.19402, 19427 & 19856 of 2026 Short grievance of the Petitioners-Bank herein is a long pendency of S.A. Nos.930, 190 & 134 of 2025 on the file of Debt Recovery Tribunal, Cuttack.
2. Learned counsel for the Petitioners vehemently argues that the right to speedy justice being one of the facets of Article 21 of the Constitution of India in the light of catena of decisions of the Apex Court, the SAs cannot be kept lingering on the file indefinitely. We agree with this.
3. In more or less, in similar matters we have declined to issue any notice to the other side, since it will have full participation before the DRT, when the SAs are taken up for consideration.
In the above circumstances, we request learned Presiding Officer of the DRT to hear and dispose off the subject SAs preferably within four months. All contentions of the Parties having been kept open. Registry to send a copy of this order to the OPs by speed post immediately. Web copy of order to be acted upon by all concerned.
