ORDER

29.06.2026

02.

1. On 11.05.2026, the learned Additional Government Advocate on instructions submitted before this Court that they have found out strong clue relating to the girl residing elsewhere and there is every possibility that she would be rescued immediately. Today, when the matter is taken up, it is submitted that the girl has been rescued and was produced before the Child Welfare Committee (CWC) and her statement under Section 180 BNSS was recorded. Subsequently, her statement under Section 183 of the BNSS has also been recorded and the CWC, Badagada, Bhubaneswar directed the minor victim girl to be sent to a shelter homeVJSS Kolathia. Though the instruction received by the learned Additional Government Advocate indicates that she is residing in the said shelter home but according to the learned counsel for the petitioner, she has been handed over to the parents by an order of the CWC.

2. It is expected that the parents would take care of the said minor victim girl. Since the girl has already been integrated to the family, there is no point in keeping the instant writ petition pending.

3. Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of.
