ORDER

29.06.2026

Order No.

04. (Through hybrid mode)

1. This CRLMP has been filed as the Petitioner was aggrieved by the inaction of the Police of Begunia Police Station even though MPR has been registered on 15.01.2026 as his daughter was missing.

2. On 23.06.2026, the prayer for adjournment had been made on behalf of the learned counsel for the Petitioner and the learned Additional Standing Counsel had submitted that he had received instructions over telephone that the daughter of the Petitioner was now residing with him. So the case has been adjourned to today i.e. 29.06.2026 to obtain instructions on writing.

3. The Instructions dated 24.06.2026 of the IIC, Begunia P.S. is produced by Mr. A.K. Apat, learned Additional Government Advocate where it is stated that the Missing Person Report was puspa registered on 15.01.2026 and the daughter of the Petitioner was traced on 15.05.2026 and as she was a major, her statement was recorded. She stated that she was in a love relationship with one Narottam Sahoo, for which she desired to reside with him of her own free will so she was allowed to go with him in the presence of her father and other family members. But one month thereafter, i.e. on 17.06.2026, she returned to her parental home and since then she resides with her parents. The said instructions are taken on record.

4. Mr. K.C. Narendra, learned counsel for the Petitioner submits that the daughter of the Petitioner has returned to his house but has lodged a complaint against Narottam Sahoo-Opposite Party No.4.

5. Since the daughter of the Petitioner has been traced and is presently residing with the house of the Petitioner, no direction is necessary to be issued in the CRLMP, which is accordingly disposed of.

6. Urgent certified copy of this order be granted on proper application. (Savitri Ratho)
