ORDER

22.06.2026

01.

1. None appears in support of the writ petition.

2. The instant writ petition in the nature of habeas corpus is at the behest of the father of the minor victim girl who was allegedly detained by the accused persons illegally yet the police has shown complacency in not tracing out and/or rescuing the said minor girl.

3. It is submitted by the learned Additional Standing Counsel that the girl has now been rescued and was placed before the Child Welfare Committee. Ultimately she has been handed over to the mother and she is residing in the family.

4. In view of the facts so disclosed, once the girl has already been rescued and/or recovered from the illegal detention, there is no justification in keeping the instant matter pending.

5. The writ petition is thus disposed of.
