1. Learned counsel submits that the tentative seniority list dated 16.06.2026, Annexure P-15 has been circulated and objections thereto have been invited and accordingly submitted by the petitioner vide Annexure P-16, however, the same have not been decided, while the promotions have been made vide Annexure P-18, of certain persons, who are senior and now proceeding to promote his juniors. In this regard, a representation dated 28.07.2026, Annexure P-19 has already been submitted, which has yet not evoked any response. He thus, on instructions prays that a direction may be given to the respondents to decide the same in a time bound manner as also prays that till the finalisation of seniority list, the promotions be not made.

2. Learned counsel for the respondents has obtain instructions and states that the seniority will be finalised within a period of 4 months, after granting an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, in accordance with law and MOHIT 2026.09.11 15:29 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

that the promotions shall be made only on the basis of final seniority list, after deciding the objections.
