1. The substantive prayer made in the instant petition reads thus: “It is, therefore, respectfully prayed that this Hon'ble Court may graciously be pleased to:
a) quash FIR No. 102 dated 05.10.2024, registered under Sections 420, 120-B of the Indian Penal Code, 1860 (Now under Section 318(4) and 61 of BNS,2023) and Section 24 of the Immigration Act, 1983, at Police Station Division-3, District Ludhiana (Annexure P-1), and all proceedings emanating therefrom, qua the Petitioners, in the interest of justice.”
2. Faced with the situation that the investigation qua the FIR in question is still underway, learned counsel for the petitioners seeks to withdraw the petition in hand at this stage, with liberty to file afresh after presentation of challan, in case occasion so arises.
