3. Learned counsel for the petitioner contends that the petitioner is innocent and has been falsely implicated, as the FIR does not attribute any specific role to him nor disclose his connection with the alleged occurrence. The allegation that the petitioner administered intoxicating substance to the deceased is based merely on the complainant’s undisclosed source of information and is not supported by any independent or corroborative evidence. It is further contended that the petitioner is in custody since 08.12.2025, i.e. for more than six months. He further submits that the co-accused have already been granted concession of regular bail by this Court.

4. Notice of motion.

5. Mr. Subhash Godara, Addl. Advocate General, Punjab accepts notice on behalf of the respondent–State and has vehemently opposed the prayer for grant of regular bail on the ground that the allegations against the petitioner are serious in nature. He further submits that the petitioner is in custody since 08.12.2025 and is not involved in any other case.

6. I have heard the submissions made by the parties and gone through the record.

7. After hearing the rival contentions and considering that the the petitioner is in custody for the custody since 08.12.2025 and is not involved in any other case; co-accused have been granted concession of bail coupled with the fact that the trial is likely to take considerable time, this Court is of the view that no useful purpose would be served by his further incarceration.
