Prayer in the present petition preferred under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, is for issuance of a writ in the nature of habeas corpus for the recovery, production and release of the minor detenue, namely Manjit Kaur daughter of Late Mahinder Pal, who is alleged to be illegally detained, wrongfully confined and kept away from her lawful guardian by respondents No.5 to 7 and their associates.

2. On 26.06.2026, a Co-ordinate Bench passed the following order:- “Petitioner has brought this criminal writ petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for the issuance of a roving writ in the nature of Habeas Corpus for release of his minor niece namely, Manjit Kaur, who has allegedly been detained by respondents no.5 to 7.
