VIKAS SHARMA VS STATE OF PUNJAB AND ANR

Present:-

Mr. Bhavyadeep Walia, Advocate

for the petitioner.

*****

Learned counsel for the petitioner inter alia submits that the present case is a classic case of abuse of the process of law by the prosecution and the complainant, and unending harassment of the petitioner.

Learned counsel submits that despite availing repeated opportunities for leading evidence starting from 16.11.2017 to 09.03.2026 wherein the evidence of the prosecution was closed by order, the same has yet not been concluded. He further submits that an application under Section 311 Cr.P.C.

was moved which was allowed on 10.03.2026 and one opportunity was granted to the prosecution to conclude its evidence but even thereafter repeated opportunities are being granted.

Notice of motion for 21.09.2026.

In the meantime, further proceedings before the trial Court shall remain stayed.

To be listed in the urgents.
