**** JASJIT SINGH BEDI, J. (Oral) The prayer in the present writ petition under Article 226/227 of the Constitution of India is for issuance of a writ in the nature of Mandamus thereby directing the official respondent No.1 to 3 for the protection of the life and liberty of the petitioners at the time of cutting/harvesting of wheat crop and until sowing paddy crop in the land owned by the petitioners.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioners contends that the private respondents are repeatedly interfering in the peaceful possession of the petitioners and in their agricultural pursuits. Therefore, appropriate orders be passed by this Court in terms of the prayer made.
